BOOT DROP OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. EACH PARTICIPANT'S CHANCES TO WIN WILL NOT BE IMPROVED BY A PURCHASE OF ANY KIND. ENTRY IN THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES. VOID WHERE RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED BY LAW.

RED WING BOOT DROP CONTEST ("CONTEST") SUMMARY

Red Wing Shoe Company, Inc. invites tradespeople to share their experience in the trades for a chance to be one of three winners of Red Wing "boots for life".

"Boots for life" is equating 1 pair of shoes for 24 months for 80 years, which means each winner shall receive $10,000USD in gift cards to be used at Red Wing shoe stores located in the United States. Gift cards will be mailed to winners within 45 business days of challenge completion. Any cards that are returned undeliverable become the property of Sponsor. The Participant must provide a valid US or Canadian address and notify Sponsor in writing of any change in address at least 90 days before the mailing of any gift card.

AGREEMENT TO RULES

Each person (each a "Participant" or "you") who submits an entry into the Contest agrees to be bound by these Official Rules ("Rules"). You are not eligible to receive the Prize or Grand Prize described herein unless you agree to these Rules.

SPONSOR

Red Wing Shoe Company, Inc., 314 Main St, Red Wing, MN 55066 ("Sponsor").

CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD

The Contest begins at [12/11] and all Entries must be received by [1/2] ("Contest Period"). The Sponsor's clock shall be the official time-keeping device.

ELIGIBILITY – WHO MAY PARTICIPATE

The Contest is open to tradespeople who legally reside in the United States and are 18 years of age and older as of the date of entry. Employees of Sponsor or its affiliates, subsidiaries, and agents ("Sponsor Parties"), and members of employees' immediate family or persons living in the same household, are ineligible. Sponsor shall, in its sole discretion, make eligibility determinations.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To enter the Contest, during the Contest Period access https://tally.so/r/vGM2Zg (the "Website") and follow the instructions to complete and submit the entry form ("Entry"). As part of the Entry, you will be required answer 8 questions about your age, location, occupation, social media handles. All required information must be included for the Entry to be eligible. Sponsor will consider only one Entry per participant; any additional submissions will be void.

ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

Each Participant must ensure that the Entry does not:

  • contain material that violates or infringes someone else's rights, including but not limited to their rights of privacy, publicity or intellectual property;
  • contain content created by someone else without permission;
  • insult or include inaccurate content that damages the reputation of Sponsor, or any other person or company;
  • contain material that is inappropriate, unlawful, offensive, indecent, obscene, or sexually explicit as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion;

ENTRY DEADLINE

All Entries must be received on or before the end of the Contest Period.

JUDGING

Following the Contest Period, the eligible Entries will be reviewed by one or more judges selected by Sponsor for each of the following criteria ("Judging Criteria"):

  • What is your age range?
  • What are your social media handles?
  • Where do you currently live?
  • What's your job title?
  • Do you work in the trades?
  • What specific power tools do you know how to handle?

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to eliminate any Entry if it appears it does not satisfy the Entry requirements. The judge(s) may select up to three (3) potential winners and reserve the right to pick fewer than three (3) potential winners, or no potential winners, if Sponsor does not receive a sufficient number of eligible Entries. In the event of a tie, the judge(s) will conduct a random drawing from the tied Entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received. ALL DETERMINATIONS OF THE JUDGE(S) AND SPONSOR ARE FINAL AND BINDING.

PRIZE

Each winner will be invited to Red Wing's Boot Drop Event at The 1896 – Area 3. on [1/15] (the "Boot Drop Event") to compete for a chance to win a lifetime supply of Red Wing boots.

At the Boot Drop Event, three (3) pairs of Red Wing boots will be encased in either rebar, concrete, or steel. Each winner will be asked to use their skills as a tradesperson to select their tool from the six options presented and attempt to open one of the boxes of Red Wing boots. The individual will work alone under a time limit set by the Sponsor based on the reasonable amount of time needed to break into each box. If they are not successful, they will not receive the prize. If the winner successfully opens their box, they will win ten (1) $1,000 gift cards (the "Grand Prize"), equaling one (1) pair of Red Wing boots every 24 months, for 80 years.

The approximate retail value (ARV) of the Prize is $10,000. All costs and expenses not expressly stated as part of the Prize are excluded and solely the responsibility of winner.

No transfer, substitutions or cash equivalent for the Prize or Grand Prize will be allowed, except at the Sponsor's sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize or Grand Prize with a prize of equal or greater monetary value. The winner is solely responsible for ensuring that he or she complies with all the applicable tax laws and filing requirements resulting from acceptance of the Prize or Grand Prize.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

The Sponsor will contact the potential winners via the email address each Participant used to submit their Entry. The Prize may be forfeited and may be awarded to another Participant who is selected per the Judging Criteria above if (i) any Prize notification is returned as undeliverable, (ii) the Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner within 3 calendar days of the first attempt to contact him or her, (iii) a potential winner is determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, to be ineligible, (iv) a potential winner declines the Prize, or (v) a potential winner is otherwise not in compliance with these Rules. Each Winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (except where prohibited) and any other requested documents to the Sponsor.

PRIVACY

Information submitted to Sponsor with an Entry is subject to the Privacy Policy found at https://www.redwingshoes.com/policy/privacy-policy.html.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By entering this Contest, Participants waive all right to, and hold the Sponsor Parties harmless from, any claim, liability, loss, damage (including punitive, incidental, and consequential damages), or expense (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with participation in this Contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize or Grand Prize. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. Sponsor will not be responsible for: late, incomplete, or incorrect entries; an entrant's failure to receive prize notices due to entrant's spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for entrants' provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information; technical, hardware, or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in this Contest; by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Contest; or any typographical, technological, or other error in the publishing of the offer, administration of the Contest, or announcement of the Prize; or any other way in which in error occurred as deemed by Sponsor in its sole discretion. If, in the Sponsor's opinion, there is such an error, or there is any suspected evidence of tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if technical difficulties (including viruses and bugs) compromise the integrity of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify this Contest in a manner deemed appropriate by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. In the event of the entry window closes early, winners will be selected from among all eligible Entries received as of the date the entry window is deemed closed by the Sponsor in its sole discretion .

IN CASE OF DISPUTES

The Sponsor will interpret these Rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the Rules, and the Sponsor's decisions shall be final. In the event of a dispute as to the owner of any Entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to submit the Entry will be deemed to be the Participant. If any provision of these Rules is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these rules, which shall remain in full force and effect. The Sponsor reserves the right to modify or terminate the Contest or to make such other decisions regarding the administration or outcome as the Sponsor deems appropriate.

FORUM AND RECOURSE TO JUDICIAL PROCEDURES

Participant agrees that all matters arising out of or relating to this Contest and these Rules are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Minnesota. Participant further agrees that any dispute arising out of or relating to this Contest and these Rules shall be brought exclusively in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
