The 8-Inch Classic Moc

The 8-inch Classic Moc is arguably the most well-known boot in the Red Wing Heritage Collection. The commanding style was initially built as a hunting boot when it debuted in 1952, and its comfort and toughness quickly made it a favorite at job sites. Today, the boot is still made in Red Wing, Minnesota with the same commitment to craftsmanship and materials that made it a legend. The iconic Traction Tred rubber outsole and moc toe construction stand out as the signature features of the boot, and Puritan triple-stitching and a Goodyear welt ensure lasting durability.

A new pair of Red Wing Heritage footwear should fit comfortably tight on the foot, with enough room to freely wiggle toes. We recommend trying on footwear in store to ensure proper fit.

1. Clean

Use warm water and a brush to remove dirt from footwear. Dry with a cloth. For heavily soiled areas, apply Foam Leather Cleaner with a cloth or brush. Wipe cleaner away with a damp cloth and allow leather to dry.

Apply a light, even coat of All Natural Boot Oil, Mink Oil, or All Natural Leather Conditioner to leather with fingers, cloth, or sponge. Proper conditioning keeps leather healthy and extends the life of footwear.

Lightly mist footwear with Leather Protector six to eight inches away from the leather in a sweeping motion. Leather Protector provides a shield against dirt and moisture. It will not darken footwear.
